Evidenced based research into climate action and coaching with Dr. Roger Maitland, Rita Symons and Dr. Sezer Bozkus Kahyaoglu

As climate change intensifies, pressures associated with the sustainability transition are increasingly experienced by coaches and their clients. To respond to this, the EMCC Global Centre for Excellence in Climate Action and Sustainability and the Research Centre for Excellence conducted extensive research which sought to understand how coaches are addressing climate change in their practice, and perceiving their role, practice, and ethical boundaries. The interdependent nature of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) means that multi-stakeholder partnerships are critical for success. As part of a partnership framework, the United Nations advocates for the use of coaching and mentoring to build high impact multiple stakeholder partnerships to address the SDGs. This session will report on the survey conducted with coaches, team coaches, mentors and supervisors in 2022. Join us as we explore this important topic and the implications for ethics and practice.
